About Me

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC/LPC) in both Maryland and South Carolina. I received my bachelor’s degree from Alfred University, New York in 2013 and my master’s degree from Loyola University Maryland in 2018. Since then, I have had experience working in corrections, school-based counseling (pre-k through 5th grade), partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient private practice. I have had experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. I currently offer telehealth only services to adolescents/teens (12yrs+) and adults, as well as couples. I also am a Board-approved Clinical Supervisor for aspiring clinicians with their LGPC working towards their LCPC. Read more about what I offer under “Services.”

Fun Q&A

  • I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids. They keep me busy, but otherwise, I enjoy cooking/baking, reading, exercising, and traveling when I can.

  • My first job ever was as a cashier, however I eventually switched to the Bakery Department where I was able to learn how to make/decorate cakes and other pastries. I still enjoy doing this today. It allows me the chance to get out of my “logical” mind into my “creative” mind.

My first counseling-related job (other than internships) was at Baltimore Central Booking. I worked with detainees on the mental health unit. I also helped those who were getting ready to be released to find housing, financial supports, employment, medical/mental health services, etc.

  • I’ve considered a wide range of options including teacher, event planner, and accountant. Before finally deciding on counseling, I wanted to get into forensic psychology, and started my degree program in that before making the switch to counseling.

  • Nothing beats the flexibility of being able to do what I love for work while also staying home to raise my kids!

  • I am originally from Western New York (Rochester/Buffalo area), so I enjoy going home to visit my parents, or visiting them at their winter home on the outskirts of Las Vegas. We also get the opportunity to visit a lot of national parks while out west. My favorite vacation was to the Dominican Republic. I have also always loved visiting Charleston, SC. On my bucket list, I would still like to visit Italy, Hawaii, and Israel.

  • DISCLAIMER: The Enneagram is a great tool for self-awareness, however I have too often seen people use it as a crutch to avoid taking responsibility for growth (“Sorry, it’s just who I am.”)

    Anyway, I’m a 1.

  • I am a moderate introvert married to an extreme extrovert, which has made me reluctantly more extroverted.
